It doesn’t need to said that SB Dunks were a major part of growing sneaker culture into the global phenomenon it is today.

Vice Sports and Nike SB have teamed up to tell the real story behind one of the most influential categories of sneaker culture, and if you’re a fan of Vice’s journalistic style, you already know that some never-before-seen footage and information will make its way to the screen.

 

Skaters and non-skaters alike chased down these releases, but it wasn’t always rainbows and sunshine for Nike.

The skating community as a whole was resistant to a big corporation like Nike entering the fold, and it wasn’t until 2002 that Nike SB became a reality.
